Company physician and occupational physician – for Frankfurt and throughout Germany
You must appoint a company doctor for your company in Frankfurt in accordance with Section 2 ASiG. This is responsible for the occupational health care of your employees and supports the implementation of health and safety regulations in the workplace. Regular examinations and consultations by the company doctor help to identify and prevent work-related health hazards at an early stage.
You must have trained and appointed company first aiders for your company in Frankfurt. The required number starts at 5% of the workforce and goes up to 10% in more “dangerous” industries. Your first responders must be trained regularly in order to be able to act quickly and effectively in an emergency.
If necessary, the employer must have examinations carried out by an occupational physician, e.g. in Frankfurt, to check the health suitability of the employees, especially for employees who are mainly driving (see Driving Licence Ordinance). An additional examination may also be necessary if there are objective indications of impairments.

Mandatory pension provision: The employer is responsible for compulsory pension provision. He is obliged to arrange the appropriate examinations (G1–G46) for the employee. These examinations must be repeated before starting work and usually once a year.

Pension provision: ArbMedVV's pension provision is not mandatory for employees. However, the employer is obliged to make an offer. The difference to mandatory precaution is that the exposure time to hazardous substances is shorter. For example, in the case of work on display screen devices, the ArbMedVV requires the employee to be offered a preventive medical examination (preventive care offered). Wish/individual provision: The ArbMedVV generally regulates the employee's entitlement to preventive care. There is no principle for this. Usually, the claim is realized by making an appointment with the company doctor and discussing the topic in private, without the company doctor informing the employer in Frankfurt about the content.

- Authorised body of the DGUV: As a certified body of the DGUV, the brarbe training institute is authorised to carry out qualified first aid training courses as well as refreshers, the costs of which can be submitted to the employers' liability insurance association. This guarantees recognized and high-quality training for your employees.
brarbe helps you with the implementation of the occupational health and safety committee (ASA).
According to § 11 ASiG, the employer must form an occupational health and safety committee in companies with more than twenty employees. This is a company committee that meets regularly to coordinate occupational health and safety measures and accident prevention. When determining the number of employees, part-time employees with a regular weekly working time of no more than 20 hours are to be taken into account at 0.5 and no more than 30 hours at 0.75.
The Working Committee is composed of:
- the employer or a person appointed by the employer
- two works council members appointed by the works council
- Company physicians
- One or more occupational safety specialists
- Safety officer (§ 22 SGB VII)
The occupational health and safety committee must be held quarterly. The regular meetings of the Labour Committee aim to keep occupational safety, occupational safety and the health of employees in Frankfurt, which is guaranteed by an occupational physician, a conscious and permanent topic.
